La storia di Chamonix inizia
alla fine del Settecento con
la prima ascesa al Monte
Bianco. Divenuta, nel 1921,
Chamonix-Mont-Blanc si
caratterizza sempre più per
la sua ricca offerta sportiva
invernale ed estiva. La valle
della Savoia di formazione
glaciale presenta infatti una
ricca offerta di piste. Tra le
possibilità proposte spicca
la mitica discesa della
Vallée Blanche che inizia
dai 3842 m d’altitudine
raggiunti utilizzando la
teleferica dell’Aiguille du
Midi. Per i percorsi di alta
montagna occorre sempre
affidarsi alle esperte guide
di Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
fondate nel 1821.

efcienza, ofre un signifcativo esempio l’HameauAlbert
1er di Chamonix. L’esperienza di partenza è infatti quella
della famiglia Carrier, curata oggi da Perrine Carrier Maillet, che
ha fatto del piccolo hotel La Pension du Chemin de Fer, costruito
nel 1903, una struttura complessa, ampia, elegante, con camere
e suite a cui si afancano tre chalet indipendenti incentrati su
design, calore d’insieme, uso del legno, presenza del caminetto,
luminosità. La soluzione ideale per avere un grande spazio tutto
per sé.
Alla dimensione storica, l’Hameau, posto nel cuore di
Chamonix, ha aggiunto ogni sorta di elementi moderni dagli
arredi al Quartzbar pensato, sul tema del ghiaccio e del cristallo,
per essere fuori dal comune, alla Spa Le Bachal: un ambiente
dolce per i trattamenti e per rilassarsi con sauna, hammam,
jacuzzi, piscina interna ed esterna con vista sul Monte Bianco.
Lo charme dell’Hameau regna sovrano nella cucina del
ristorante gastronomico Albert 1er. Un viaggio nei sapori che
caratterizzano tre regioni la cui grandezza gastronomica non
necessita di presentazioni: Piemonte, Savoia e Mediterraneo.
Declinata sulla sinfonia delle stagioni, la carta proposta dallo
chef Pierre Maillet è infatti una felice sintesi tra i prodotti del
giorno reinventati in una cornice in cui, al lungo elenco delle

The initial experience is, in fact, that of the Carrier family, cared for
today by Perrine Carrier Maillet, who has made of the little hotel
La Pension du Chemin de Fer, built in 1903, a complex structure,
spacious, elegant, with rooms and suites, next to which are
three independent chalets centred around design, warmth of
ensemble, the use of wood, the presence of a freplace, light. The
ideal solution to have a grand space all for oneself.
In the historical dimension, the Hameau, located in the heart
of Chamonix, has added every type of modern element from
furnishings to the QuartzBar - intended to be, regarding the
theme of ice and crystal, far from common - to the Le Bachal Spa,
a cosy atmosphere for treatments and relaxation, with a sauna,
hammam, Jacuzzi, inside and outside pool overlooking Mont
Blanc.
The charm of the Hameau reigns sovereign in the cuisine of
the gastronomic restaurant Albert 1st. A journey in favours
that characterises three regions, whose gastronomic greatness
needs no presentation: Piedmont, Savoia and theMediterranean.
Elaborated following the symphony of the seasons, the menu
proposed by chef Pierre Maillet is, in fact, a happy synthesis of
the products of the day, reinvented in a setting in which, to the
