asta fare pochi passi per imbattersi nel magnifco Palazzo di
Amalienborg (una delle residenze della monarchia danese)
e poi seguire un percorso suggestivo lungo il canale per
deliziarsi gli occhi con l’incanto di Nyhavn, fancheggiato dalle
variopinte casine a ghimberga che
ispirarono la fantasia di uno dei più
illustri cittadini di Copenhagen,
Hans Andersen.
Pur conformandosi al tipico stile
scandinavo per le linee essenziali
e gli arredi moderni, lo Scandic
Front ha una sua personalità ben
distinta. Lo si nota appena si entra
nella lobby. Qui l’occhio si posa
immediatamente su una lavagna
coperta da scritte che richiamano i
murales del distretto di Christiania,
la città degli hippy. L’atmosfera
è giovanile e colorata nei piccoli
salottini che trasformano la lobby in
un ambiente intimo e rilassante.

Copenhagen, grazie ad un programma creato nel 1993. Tutto ciò è

fter just a few steps, you come face to face with
the magnifcent Amalienborg Palace, one of the
residences of the Danish monarchy. Then take a
pleasant stroll along the canal to be delighted by the charm
of Nyhavn, lined with the multicoloured
Gothic-gabled little houses that inspired
the fantasy of one of the most distinguished
citizens of Copenhagen, Hans Christian
Andersen.
Though in typical Scandinavian style with
its essential lines and modern furnishings,
the Scandic Front has got a personality of its
own, which is noticeable as one enters the
lobby. Here the eye immediately falls on a
blackboard covered with writing that recalls
the murales in the district of Christiania,
the hippy city. The ambience is young and
colourful in the small sitting-rooms that form
a cosy and relaxing lobby area. The rooms are
comfortable and well-equipped, in line with
the styleof ahotel that is the forerunner ineco-sustainability
anywhere in Copenhagen, thanks to a programme created
in 1993. This is confrmedby the rich breakfast bufet, based
exclusively on organic products.
