Si tratta di Amphibious 1000, un incredibile resort
semisommerso, situato in un’area protetta lungo le coste
del Qatar. Un luogo dove i sogni si tramuteranno in materia,
dove il mare cullerà con le sue onde l’anima del viaggiatore.
Sulla terraferma saranno disponibili i servizi comuni, ma lo
spettacolo che innamorerà l’ospite si svolge nelle profondità
dell’azzurro della costa. Ben quattro hotel ospiteranno ognuno
75 suites di lusso, con hall sommerse a 10 metri di profondità,
che garantiranno la vista sull’afascinante quando misterioso
mondo marino. Dalle braccia principali di
questa isola-resort si snoderanno vari pontili
minori, dove suites galleggianti ofriranno la
possibilità di soggiornare sia sopra sia sotto
il livello del mare. Il luogo più personale
e intimo della struttura si trova nel cuore
di essa. Sommerso a 3 metri sorge infatti
un bulbo di osservazione, per ammirare le
meraviglie circostanti fra il silenzio e la pace
del blu sconfnato.
Il progetto architettonico è stato afdato
al genio creativo di Giancarlo Zema, giovane
architetto romano specializzato in strutture
semisommerse. A lui il difcile compito di
creare l’atmosfera da mille e una notte, di
dare vita a un luogo in grado di raccogliere
in sé la fantasia di una favola e la forza del
sogno diventato realtà. Perché questo è Amphibious 1000. Un
luogo incantato, lontano dal tempo che scorre, un posto dove la
poesia che nasce dalla perfezione renderà omaggio a una terra
baciata dal sole e, grazie anche a questo idilliaco resort, amante
segreta del mare.
We are speaking of Amphibious 1000, an incredible semi-
submerged resort situated in a protected area along the
coast of Qatar. A place where dreams will be transformed
into reality, where the sea waves will rock the soul of the
traveller. The common services will be available on land;
however, the spectacle that will make guests fall in love
resides in the profundity of the blue off the coast. Four hotels
will each include 75 luxury suites, with lobbies submerged to
the depth of 10 metres, affording a view of the fascinating yet
mysterious marine world. From the main
branches of this island-resort will extend
minor bridges, where floating suites will
offer the possibility of staying both above
and below sea level. The most personal
and intimate place of the structure is
found at its heart. Down 3 metres is an
observation point, from which one can
admire surrounding marvels in the peace
and quiet of the infinite blue.
The architectural project has been
entrusted to the creative genius of
Giancarlo Zema, a young Roman
architect who specialises in submerged
structures. He has the difficult task of
creating an atmosphere of a “thousand
and one nights”, to give life to a place which encloses in itself
the fantasy of a fable and the force of a dream turned reality.
This is Amphibious 1000. An enchanted place outside time, a
place where poetry born from perfection will render homage
to a land kissed by the sun and - thanks also to this idyllic
resort - will be the secret mistress of the sea.
